Invitations - Sheela + Manoj

I've been meaning to write about this particular invitation for a while now so here goes...Inspired by the architecture of the Moghul Empire, the design is aimed to usher guests into a new yet exotic with a clean, modern aesthetic.

Sheela really wanted the invitations to convey a sense of casual elegance – so I incorporated my hand-drawn scrolls and arabesque patterns into the design. The bi-fold enclosure is dressed with a personalized band and opens to a Tagore quote on the front.

Because most of the guests were from out of town, we tucked in the Sangeet details, accomodations and directions, and a self-mailer RSVP (all on individual cards) to the left while the main ceremony invite remained in focus on the right.

The two motifs 'meet' in the back to symbolize unity of the two souls.

The envelopes were relatively simpler to allow the eye to breathe. Here's an image of them all packed up and ready for delivery!
